Carrot Lape is French home cooking. "Lape" means "to grate" and this dish is like a shredded carrot salad. Beta-carotene, which is abundant in carrots, is converted into vitamin A in the body. It has the effect of keeping the skin and mucous membranes normal.


Carrot Lape is my favorite salad that my mother sometimes makes at home! My father and brother are not good at this dish, so I have memories of sharing the deliciousness with just me and my mother.


You will need
  • Chopsticks
  • Basic kitchen knife
  • Cutting board
  • Bowl
  • Measuring tablespoon
  • Measuring teaspoon
  • Peeler
  • Refrigerator
  • Plate
Ingridients
  • Carrot 1 (about 150g)
  • Raisins15g
  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Linseed oil 2 teaspoon
  • Pepper small quantity
Procedures

  1. First, cut off the stem and tip of the carrot and peel the skin with a peeler.
  2. Second, use a peeler to cut carrots into thin skins.
  3. Third,layer many carrots that have become thin skins and shred them.★
  4. Next,put shredded carrots and the raisins in a bowl.
  5. Then,add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, 2 teaspoons of linseed oil and small amount of pepper to the bowl with the carrots and raisins.
  6. When all ingredients are in a bowl, mix them well.
  7. And,put the bowl in which all ingredients are well mixed in the refrigerator for 3hours to 1day.
  8. Finally, serve carrot lape on a plate.

★If you stack skins of the same size as much as possible, you can finely shreddedthem well.

Conclusion 

Carrot Lape is a healthy salad with nostalgic memories that only my mother and I shared the deliciousness. It is easy to make without using fire, so I've been making them once a week since I started living alone. 

This carrot lape recipe is has raisins in it, so it's delicious and a good source of iron. Also, if you like, you can add nuts to this salad to make it a delicious salad that you can enjoy the texture. It has a refreshing taste and goes well with any dish. It's colorful and delicious, so if you can't decide which one to make, I recommend carrot lape!
